No! Not Meryl!!
So, the trailer for the sequel to the ABBA-esque movie musical "Mamma Mia!" just landed, and it seems like there's a bit of a spoiler revealed — indirectly: Meryl Streep's Donna character seems to be a goner.
Oh, there's plenty of "Dancing Queen" and other hits by the Swedish pop band in the preview for "Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again!," due to hit theaters July 20. But there's a subtext that people are picking up on.
In the trailer, we find out Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) is pregnant and her mom's friends arrive to help her through it.

And then, Rosie (Julie Walters) tells her, "Your mother was the bravest person we ever knew. Let me tell you how she did it, all on her own."
Wait. WHAT!? Wtf is up with the past tense?? Well, if that's not killing off Donna, we don't know what is.
Lily James plays young Donna in flashbacks, with the movie detailing how she fell in love with Sophie's father.

But fans have noticed the lack of new footage with Streep. And they aren't happy.
