Sad news to report from Unity.
TribLIVE reports a horse became stuck in the mud at a farm along Weavers Road in Unity on Wednesday. Firefighters and the Westmoreland County Animal Response Team were called to the scene about 12:30 p.m.
It didn't end well for the horse. Details remain vague, but officials at the scene reported the horse had to be euthanized.
It's a shame that had to be the result, because a quick search of Google nets mostly happy tails of horses stuck in mud:

It's a shame the one in Unity wasn't able to enjoy the same fate.
