So, the trailer for the new film "Ocean's 8" dropped this afternoon and we have some sad news to report.
Danny Ocean is dead.
Well, that's if you believe the trailer for the new movie:

You're seeing that right: Danny Ocean's interred body in a mausoleum. (In case you can't read it: "Danny Ocean, 1961 - 2018.")
The new movie stars Sandra Bullock as Ocean's sister, Debbie, who is fresh out on parole. It doesn't take her long to jump back into action with a group of gals — Cate Blanchett, Rihanna, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Helena Bonham Carter and Awkwafina — and a plot to heist a $100 million necklace off top-level a celebrity (Anne Hathaway).
But what's up with Danny Ocean being dead?
It certainly would give Debbie a good reason to pull off a heist in his honor. Or maybe Danny had to fake his death after the events of "Ocean's Thirteen." Maybe he'll show up in the closing minutes of "8" and set up a killer "Ocean's 9."
We're pulling for the latter.
