Drivers could only watch on in horror as a herd of deer — a buck and three does — ran across a bridge in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and jumped over the side, falling about 30 feet to their death.
Catherine Veerhusen was traveling on the bridge with her husband when the incident happened right in front of her. She managed to capture it on video, in a 2-second clip she posted to Facebook .

"I've never seen anything like this," Veerhusen, who was driving by, told the Des Moines Register . "No words, no words."
The bridge is new, and Ron Lane, a conservation officer for the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, told the newspaper the deer were likely confused and scared.
Veerhusen's video has gotten more than 28 million views and 22,500-plus shares.
